I’ve got nursery on the brain – and it is not because I am expecting. We’ve got some fun projects coming up in 2017 that I am working on for Em and one of them is a nursery for my little sister. The little monster that gets to live there is one of my most favorite people on the planet so I can’t wait to spoil her rotten with good design. Not that she will look at her stunningly crafted new crib/bed and say “TG Brady has the eye for a perfectly proportioned crib”, or “I am so glad that I have a place to hang my dolly’s purse on these hand-crafted wood pegs” or “my books about how to poop look so good next to my copper tinted mirror” but I will take what I can get and hugs are something she is pretty damn good at, after I say “hug harder” of course, but I am reminding myself. Baby steps Brady… baby steps.
BUT – I really am so excited to tackle my first nursery project and I could not be more excited that it is for someone that I love so much and that Em has given me free reign (for the most part) on it. Obviously working for Em has it’s perks and getting her input on my designs is one of them.
The vibe I am going for is a bit Scandinavian meets Boho, with enough texture, pattern, and fun to still feel young and exciting enough for a little girl to enjoy. I can’t obviously show you too much as the full reveal will be on Em’s blog very shortly – but, here are a few pictures I have been drawing inspiration from as I have been designing and pulling it all together.
And yes, I fully realize that not all of those pics are not nursery related, but they are definitely still providing some great inspiration. Stay tuned for the big reveal very soon. xx
